Outside in the cold

I looked out the window on a cold overcast day to see this abstract image.
The ice grows longer from the roof overhang.
Chances are that it will be gone this weekend if the temperature goes up to 40 degrees.
I recorded several images of this scene so a little work can be done in my photo software.

How long until Spring?

This morning when i walked out of the house the wind chill awakened me with the realization that Winter is less than two weeks.
It is cold and no fun walking in the windy weather so i have posted a couple images from the archive to remember that this cold weather will pass and Spring will be back in a few months.

Hike through the woods on a fall day.

Today the temperature was up enough for me to have a relaxing hike in Kendrick Woods Metro Park.
